WIAW - We Don't Suppress Cravings Around Here

Good morning!
It's Wednesday - we're over half way there! I totally agree with Christine in that once Wednesday hits, it feels like the week is over. We're getting close at least! ;)

Okay, I actually took pictures of the majority of my food yesterday (it's a miracle, I know).
Thanks to Jenn for hosting!

I started my morning off with a workout- my alarm came way too soon but I was so glad I just went with it. I hate thinking about a workout I have yet to do. Done and done!

I fixed up some cereal + banana + freeze dried strawberries + (homemade!!) sunbutter for some refuel! It was awesome!

I knew I'd be hungry after first hour, so I packed myself a larabar, some TJ's frosted squares, and 1/2 a chocolate chip cookie my momma made!
In the past, I probably would have tried avoiding the cookie as long as I possibly could, but I finally figured out that I'd be better off just going with the craving. Much better approach, let me tell ya. :)

I got home around 10:45 after some AP Bio and started making myself meal numba tres!

(Oh, and I'll explain my schedule situation since a couple of you guys have been asking... Basically I take some college classes online which counts as "PSEO". Therefore, I get to leave school after first hour on some days and second hours on others. I usually get 2-3 hours off between 9 and 1 to do whatever I want. It's a good deal :) )

I started sipping on another one of these guys (yep, the tummy grossness is back).

I drank about half while making myself this little ham sammich with poppyseed dressing. I ate some of this apple too - delicious.

My meal ended with a few more delicious bites of these guys...

I was feeling kind of antsy and sick of the computer, so I took a treaddy walk/did some abs while watching Friends. This is probably one of the only shows I actually laugh out loud at. I just love them.

Joey is my hero.

Anyway, I worked up an appetite! I finished my apple, my Green Machine shmoooothie and snacked on some almonds. (because you know... I eat them... okay dumb joke)

After getting home from school I did some music downloading and room organizing, and eventually made myself this little yogurt bowl!
Strawberries + Vanilla yogurt + PB + some good old Rice Krispies that caught my eye (we don't suppress cravings around here)
:)

I'm calling this a "hand-made" trail mix. Basically I grabbed some pretzels and then some peanut & m&m mix... Yup.

Don't mind the side-ways picture. I'm still learning the ropes on this mac.

And here's my stomach-achey dinner. A WW english muffin w/ some Smart Balance; some raisins, yogurt and GoLean crunch. Yeah, I couldn't do the Greek yogurt - stomach problems can be done any day now.

I'm heading to Chris's Bball game in a few so I might get some delicious popcorn or just call this a day. Depends how I'm feeling and how good the popcorn smells ;)

Have a good day everyone!

Think about it: "When you feel stressed or sad or frustrated, do something. Run, write, sleep, talk, cry, laugh, read, stretch, relax.. Do what you need to do, but just don't wallow in the self-pity and insecurity. Wallowing is saying yes the uncomfortable feelings, it's saying 'Okay, you win. I'm not strong enough for this today.' Prove it to yourself. Prove it to the world. Don't wallow."

That's something I felt needed to be said after an afternoon like today. Lesson learned. :)

  4. home made freeze dried strawbs? looook at youuu, miss fancy! And hahaha Joey is so my fav too. Also- love the "think about it". I also think that sometimes that something is just to do nothing! Not the wallowing in self pity, but just taking a break from everything and just laying down and closing your eyes for a bit. Maybe not even a nap, just taking a break from the chaos for a little bit. :)

    1. Ooops - the sun butter was homemade, not the strawberries haha. And I think that's such a great point. I definitely have days where I just can't fight it. I need to just sit and let myself be sad. Love that you mentioned that.

  7. That quote is just fantastic, and really what I needed to read today! I wish we could get Larabars in Australia, I really want to try one!
I literally think I've seen every episode of Friends and I wouldn't have it any other way! My Mum and I used to have Friends marathons every Sunday morning and it was the best thing (: Joey is just the best!
